In "Scandal" Season 5, expect everything to be handled.

Here are 5 things gladiators won't want to miss on Shonda Rhimes' hit TV drama series on ABC:

 1. "Scandal" Season 5 will premiere on Sept. 24 at 9 p.m.

As seen on their official Twitter account, "Scandal" will join "Grey's Anatomy" and "How To Get Away With Murder" to complete your Thursday nights. #TGIT indeed.

 2. Recurring characters get promoted to series regular.

Gladiators will be seeing a lot of Portia de Rossi's Elizabeth North who replaced Cyrus Beene as the president's new right hand and chief of staff. Another character who will stir up "Scandal" Season 5 is Marcus Walker's activist Cornelius Smith Jr.

 3. A new gladiator will show up.

According to Den of Geek, showrunner Shonda Rhimes has mentioned that the new gladiator will be someone viewers have seen before. So, it may mean it could be a past gladiator like Henry Ian Cusick's Stephen Finch or possibly Lisa Kudrow's Josie Marcus, whom Olivia Pope had worked with before. Another possibility could be Mia Maestro's character whose details are yet unknown.

 4. First Lady Millicent "Mellie" Grant will be "in a world of hurt."

Season 4 saw Mellie get ejected from the White House by the president himself. PopSugar reported that Bellamy Young dished out details about her character who will be in grief in Season 5 but she'll be "less self-indulgent" in coming to terms with her new sorrow.

5. Quinn and Huck's relationship will be highlighted in "Scandal" Season 5.

Katie Lowe's Quinn and Guillermo Diaz's Huck will get more screen exposure. As per TV Fanatic, Lowes said about her character, "She's in a really huge pickle. It's really a conflicting emotion of 'Do you kill your best friend/mentor/sexual lover/all the different various relationships we've been to each other [and] the man you lick every once in awhile for kicks?' The truth is, he killed a busload of innocent American people and chopped a lot of their heads off for fun, so Huck's crossed a major line. Quinn has crossed lines but not that bad."

Be patient gladiators, only less than a month when "Scandal" Season 5 will rock your world again.
