 Idris Elba (née Idrissa Akuna Elba) turned 43 years old yesterday, Sept. 6. The London-born actor nearly had a run in with death while filming Netflix's "Beast of No Nation" when he lost his footing while leaning on a tree overlooking a waterfall in the heart of Ghana's jungles.   1. "Beast of No Nations" - written and directed by Cary Fukunaga, the film is described by IMDb as a war drama based on the journey of a child soldier, Agu, who gets recruited by "the commandant" played by Idris Elba into his army of young soldiers battling in an unnamed African country's civil war. The movie will be available in the U.S on Oct. 16.

 2. "Bastille Day" - is another action movie from Idris Elba who plays the role of Sean Briar in a movie about a former CIA operative and a young artist who starts the ball rolling in France on an anti-terrorist mission. IMDb detailed that the movie will be released on March 6, 2016.

"The Jungle Book" - Idris Elba's face may not be seen in Walt Disney Pictures' adventure-fantasy-drama movie set for release on April 15, 2016, but, his voice will be heard and recognized as Shere Khan, a bengal tiger with colossal strength — villain to "man-cub" Mowgli. Elba will be in the company of some of the big names in Hollywood including Scarlett Johansson, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Christopher Walken, Lupita Nyong'o and a lot more.
