‘The Voice’ Adds Gwen Stefani As Returning Coach, Blake Shelton Shares Why He’s The Most Successful ‘Voice’ Mentor

"The Voice's" latest season is coming and the successful singing competition will return with its beloved judges.

As reported by Broadway World, Gwen Stefani will return to serve as one of the coaches. Joining her are coaches Adam Levine, Pharell Williams and Blake Shelton.

The ninth season of NBC's award-winning singing competition will choose among the strongest vocalists in the country. The said vocalists will have the chance to be coached by the named megastar musicians.

As reported by Monsters and Critics, the contestants will move through various stages of the competitions from Blind Auditions to Battle Rounds to the Knockouts, Live Playoffs and lastly, Live Performances shows.

The four coaches will give their time to develop their team of singers, giving them sound advice and sharing secrets to success.

Stefani, the returning addition to the pool of "The Voice" coaches said, "It was so sad when it was over. It went really fast, and it was so fun. It was not at all what I expected. I got so much out of it, and I was inspired. I said, 'I hope they ask me back!' I was waiting and waiting."

Stefani added: "So, when it happened, it was last minute and it's been a whirlwind. Coming back has been great. It's so different this time because I know everyone so well, I'm so comfortable and I know what I'm doing. Also, my team is just amazing. Emotionally, the different stories that they have and what I'm getting out of it, I'm learning that we have these parallel stories going on and it's really cool. It's just a really fun thing to do."

Blake Shelton, arguably the most successful of the coaches, recently told Fox News the reason why he's a good "Voice" mentor.

On his successful run as one of the show's coaches, Shelton said that it has to do with his own mentor. He was quoted as saying, "Trace Adkins was that guy for me .... Unfortunately, because he's a grumpy, old bastard."

"The Voice" will premiere its ninth season on Sept. 21, 2015.
