The Duggars: Anna Duggar Attends Amy Duggar's Wedding; Husband Josh Duggar Missing At Family Event

The Duggars came in full force last Sept. 6 to attend Amy Duggar’s wedding to Dillon King. Anna Duggar was present but husband Josh Duggar was missing at the family event.

After recently being thrown in the spotlight because of husband Josh Duggar’s Ashley Madison involvement, Anna Duggar came out in public for the first time since the scandal erupted. She was accompanied by the whole Duggar clan headed by her in-laws Jim Bob and Michelle.

At Amy Duggar's wedding, People reported that Josh and Anna's 5-year-old daughter Mackynzie acted as the flower girl for the stylish ceremony held at Horton Farms close to Bentonville, Arkansas. Amy Duggar-King related she caught up with her cousin's wife Anna, before the start of the ceremony and gave her the "biggest hug ever," and continued, "That's when I got the most emotional. She told me to have just an amazing day."

Daily Mail detailed that Anna was dressed demurely in a khaki skirt and blue top. As the rest of the Duggar brood was happily chatting away at the event, Anna Duggar stood at the outskirts away from the rest of the them.

Also present to attend Amy Duggar's wedding was Jessa Duggar Seewald who was reported to have cut ties with her family when she criticized his brother Josh for his infidelity. Jill Duggar was also in attendance with husband Derick Dillard and son Israel.

Before the ceremony, Anna and the rest of the Duggars attended a Cross Church's service wherein the pastor shared a message advocating the "secret sin" of pornography. Pastor Jeff Crawfor, who delivered an animated sermon, was reported to have yelled at some times within the talk and spoke about porn and sin.

Jill Duggar and family were called up on stage by a second pastor while the church service was ongoing and pleaded for the whole congregation to add in their prayers the missionary work of the Dillards in Central America.

The Duggars were among the last to depart the church after taking pictures and spending some time talking to members of the assembly.

Meanwhile, the beautiful bride told US Weekly that her big day would serve as a cheerful distraction for her popular family during cousin Josh Duggar's scandal. She said, "In the middle of chaos, I think this will be a really beautiful moment."

She continued that she wanted to protect her family during these trying times, which explains why her wedding remains closed to the public.

"I just really think it's a special time for all of us to be reunited. It's been a rough couple of weeks, last couple of months too," and added, "I want them to know that it's safe to come to my wedding and not be bombarded by media or fans, and just kind of respect that time with each other."
