‘Arrow’ Cast Emily Bett Rickards: 5 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Woman Behind Oliver Queen’s Love Interest

"Arrow" fans are excited for the fate of "Olicity" when the show returns for its season four. Who would've thought that a billionaire such as Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, will eventually fall for the nerdy girl Felicity Smoak, played by Emily Bett Rickards?

Did you know that "Olicity" was never really planned? In fact, Rickards' role in "Arrow" was supposed to be minor — two scenes, one day of acting — but look at her character now, she's even got her own work area in their new headquarters, as per Den of Geek.

There may be a few deets about Rickards fans might have missed, so you might want to check the list below.

1. There's one point in her life that she wanted to be a pirate.

"I thought 'pirate' was gonna happen for a really long time," she said in an interview with Refinery 29.

She revealed she had an eye patch, a fake parrot. She also had ships in the battle, and made her brother find the treasure on the map she'd drawn.

2. She likes young adult books.

Rickards said she had read the entire "Harry Potter," "Eragon" and "Hunger Games" series.

3. If she wasn't an actress, she would study primates.

"I've always been interested in psychology as well, so maybe studying human behavior or primates!" she revealed during an interview with TKC.

4. There's three places where you can find Rickards during her day off, in Vancouver.

This "Arrow" actress said she would be at the gym, at the dog park or beach. Yep, she has a dog and, in fact, she said that if she landed on a deserted island, she would like to bring her dog.

"I like shopping," she said. "You name it: online, offline, in line."
