Chris Brown's upcoming concert in Australia is reportedly getting lots of flak.
As reported by ABC, posters of Chris Brown's concert has been targeted by activists who are calling for a boycott of his show.
According to reports, at least one of the Chris Brown posters has been altered as activists slapped a sticker saying "I Beat Women."
The phrase on the said sticker is referring to the 2009 incident in which Chris Brown has been reported to assault his then girlfriend, RnB princess Rihanna.
For the assault, Brown was sentenced to five years' probation, one year of domestic violence counselling and 180 days of community labor.
The concert is part of Chris Brown's "One Hell of a Nite tour" and it has been announced that he will perform at the Rod Laver Arena on December 12.
According to The Guardian, the activist group protesting to boycott Brown's concert is called "GetUp" and has called on the immigration minister to ban the American singer.
GetUp has also launched an online petition requesting the immigration minister, Peter Dutton, to refuse Brown entry to the country when he performs for his upcoming concert.
GetUp said, "Allowing Chris Brown to tour sends a bad message to young people, to survivors of violence, and to the men who perpetrate this violence."
The 26-year-old Brown has been hounded by controversy ever since the 2009 incident with Rihanna. Just last May, the singer narrowly escaped a prison sentence when he allegedly assaulted someone during a basketball game last 2014.
According to MusicFeeds, if Brown's visa is approved, his concert will span for multiple days as he is scheduled to perform in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
However, Brown is already banned from performing in New Zealand as the immigration minister has already declared they will not give the singer a visa since he has already been barred from entering the UK.
Chris Brown has yet to respond to GetUp's protest regarding his scheduled concerts.
