Peter Dinklage’s Grand Gesture Of Affection At The Emmy Awards Is So Gross! ‘Game Of Thrones’ Actor’s Wife Accepts Spitted Gum For True Love’s Sake? [WATCH VIDEO]

Is Peter Dinklage a terrible kisser? True love can never be so gross compared to the "Game of Thrones" actor's gesture of affection during the Emmy Awards on Sunday where he apparently ditched his chewing gum into his wife's mouth upon realizing he had won the best supporting actor award.

On Sunday, Peter Dinklage was definitely caught off guard when his name was announced as the winner for best supporting actor during the 67th Annual Emmy Awards. But it wasn't his award that caught the attention of so many viewers who took to social media when they noticed the awkward and yucky kissing exchange between the 46-year-old actor and his wife, Erica Schmidt.

When Dinklage's name was called, USA Today revealed that he leaned over to kiss his wife, whispered something to her, and then went in for another kiss. But the greatest mystery of all was if the second kiss was his way to get rid of the gum he was chewing since it appeared to be gone when he delivered his speech.

"I wasn't prepared at all," Dinklage told the audience during his speech, as noted by Distratify.com (via Us Weekly). "I was even chewing gum."

Despite being nominated for five times for his "Game of Thrones" role and having won once before, Peter Dinklage seemed to be genuinely surprised when his name was called during the ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, Daily Mail reported. But, where did his gum go? Well, it appears that it's for Dinklage to know and for us to find out.

After the awkward kiss, which raised eyebrows on the Internet, Peter Dinklage's wife Erica Schmidt was seen covering her mouth and giggling for reasons that the netizens were about to piece together. And since the actor gave an emphasis to the word, "was," during his speech, his chewed gum was also in the past tense.

Meanwhile, Peter Dinklage's success helped the HBO fantasy drama break the record for most Emmy wins in one year. As a matter of fact, the series took home four trophies on the night including writing, direction and the coveted Outstanding Drama, which also coupled with the eight won at the previously held Creative Arts Emmys.
