Khloe Kardashian's Waist Too THIN? Rob Kardashian's Fave Sister Defies Science In Waist Trainer Instagram Snap

Khloe Kardashian recently shared an Instagram photo of herself flaunting her thin waist. But what exactly caught the attention of several social media followers was her patronage of waist trainers despite her hard work to get a toned body at the gym.

Khloe Kardashian is not the only one in her family who's obsessed with waist trainers as seen on her latest Instagram post. In fact, her sister Kim is also known to have jumped on the waist training bandwagon. The reason? To provide an instantly slimming, hourglass look.

"Who doesn't love a good waist trainer/bathroom selfie? Make sure you follow my girl @premadonna87 @waistgangsociety for the best trainers in the game," Khloe Kardashian captioned her Instagram post. "Head over to www.whatsawaist.com to get hooked up!! Let's snatch that waist"

Several months ago, Kim Kardashian also shared an image on Instagram about her obsession with waist trainers.

"I'm really obsessed with waist training! Thank you @premadonna87 for my new waist shapers! #whatsawaist" she wrote on Instagram.

The Kardashians, however, aren't the only ones who have actually gone crazy over "waist-training" and to get Hollywood's latest must-have accessory: a modern day corset. For centuries, women have used these constraining undergarments to contour their bodies for a sought-after curvaceous physique. And recently, the quest for a slimmer waist has ignited a resurgence in the use of corsets to attain an unnatural hourglass figure.

While Rob Kardashian's famous sisters, Kim and Khloe, have become advocates of waist training to reduce the size of their midsections, other celebs like Brooke Burke-Charvet and Jessica Alba have also credited similar products to help them achieve their pre-baby bodies, Women's Health noted. But what is now concerning is the fact that these constricting garments can be dangerous to women's health.

Seeking the medical experts' help and advice over this viral Hollywood trend, Yale School of Medicine and OB-GYN clinical professor Mary Jane Minkin said that medically speaking, using waist trainers to trim your waist do not make sense since it would not make it smaller permanently.

"Once you take the garment off, your body will return to its usual shape," Minkin said. "It's also uncomfortable, restricts your movements, and if you wear it really tight, it can even make it difficult to breathe and theoretically could cause rib damage."

A number of advantages and disadvantages also comes with the use of waist trainers and those interested can check out Waist-Trainer.org for the detailed list. Though celebrities like Khloe and Kim Kardashian are promoting the use of waist-trainers, medical experts warn they are a really bad idea.

In reality, the only way to achieve a slimmer body is through diet and exercise, Allure reported. Though it's not trendy, it's the surest thing that works whether to drop baby weight or to get rid of some unwanted pounds.
