The 2016 Honda Civic Is The Best Civic Thus Far — Price & Specifications Review

The 2016 Honda Civic has yet to be released but that doesn't stop people from getting excited.

Arguably the most popular car in America right now, the 2016 Honda Civic looks to seal its legacy. The Japanese car maker revealed the 10th generation of the Civic in the U.S and so far, the reception is positive.

According to an article by Bangkok Post, the 2016 Honda Civic features a very modern design compared to the previous model. Among the standouts were the pronounced LED lights and chrome grille set-up at the car's front. In addition, the new Civic also has a fast-back style profile and boomerang-shaped rear lights.

Fans anticipating the 2016 Honda Civic will also have a blast choosing colors as, according to a related report by Auto Blog, the new Civic will be available in nine colors. Those colors are the Taffeta White, White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Mettalic, Rallye Red, Lunar Silver Mettalic, Aegean Blue Metallic, Cosmic Blue Metallic and Burgundy Night Pearl.

These said colors of course, will be offered on every trim, except for the Taffeta White which is only offered in the base model.

As for the actual version of the car, the 2016 Honda Civic will be available in a 2.0-liter model and a 1.5-liter model.

But don't let those numbers fool you as Auto Guide reported that the 1.5-liter Civic is actually the top-of-the-line model. This particular Civic features 1.5-liter Turbo-charged four-cylinder engine that can deliver up to 174 units of horsepower. As for the base 2.0, it will come in a standard naturally aspirated, four-cylinder engine, giving a competent output of 174 horsepower.

Bad news for driving enthusiasts though, the 1.5-liter Turbocharged 2016 Honda Civic is rumored to only feature Continuously Variable Transmission. The manual transmission is only available for the 2.0-liter base model.

For its Miles-Per-Gallon consumption, Honda has yet to announce the exact number. As for the pricing, rumors are saying that the price will start at $18,680, Auto Blog has learned.
