A lot of fans have been waiting and hoping for the return of the animated series of the “Justice League” especially that DC has been highlighting their beloved superheroes in solo outings on TV with “The Flash,” and “Arrow” and the upcoming “Legends of Tomorrow.” In the big screen, DC was also preparing for its Cinematic Universe with the much talked about “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad.”

Finally, some good news have greeted fans of the DC Comics superheroes with the reports that a fresh “Justice League” cartoon will make its debut next year.

According to The World’s Finest, after a long span of time of teasing on social media and other sites on the internet, a representative from Cartoon Network Canada was asked about a probable upcoming new animated series of the "Justice League," and has confirmed that a new series, rumored to be called "Justice League Action," will likely happen in fall 2016.

The Nerdist reported a “leak” from the Burbank office of Warner Brothers, where the letters “JLA” was included among a list of posters for their present and future animated series. Comic Book Resources has a photo of the said posters.

“Justice League,” the animated version which included Batman, Superman, Hawkgirl, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash and Martian Manhunter, was first aired in Cartoon Network from 2001 to 2004. Another animated series, “Justice League Unlimited” followed which ran from 2004 to 2006.

IGN added that Cartoon Network’s Canada branch has taken down its post via Facebook which stated: “We will be premiering a new 'Justice League' series, but not likely until next fall.” A new post replaced it later which read: "Hey fans, we at Cartoon Network Canada can’t confirm any information regarding a potential new 'Justice League' series."
