Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s last dancing partner on “Dancing With the Stars” and former rumored girlfriend Meryl Davis are back to ice skating once again. And she’s with no other than her longtime partner Charlie Davis.
They kicked off the winter season this week by performing for the Rockefeller Center Rink opening.
Meryl and Charlie's appearance graced the Today show, and their fans couldn't be happier that they have reunited once again.
Davis took to Twitter to express her gratitude to the daily live broadcast, writing "Thanks @todayshow for having us to open one of our favorite rinks!" alongside a snap of herself and Charlie while doing the interview.
Maks Chmerkovskiy's former "DWTS" partner also took to Instagram to share a cute snap of their experience during their Today show appearance. The pic shows Charlie trying to execute a routine with someone other than Davis.
Meryl captioned the Instagram post: "Clownin' is what we do best! Thanks @todayshow for having us to open one of our favorite rinks!"
The twosome then made the most out of the day by watching a New York Rangers game. White proudly shared a photo on his Twitter account which he captioned: "There's no season like hockey season! Having a great time taking in this @NYRangers game with @Meryl_Davis @NHL."
The last time Meryl and Charlie competed together was during the Olympics on Feb. 2014 in which they bagged the championship title.
Following their win, they ditched their skates and donned their ballroom dancing shoes and competed on ABC's "DWTS" Season 18. Because of this, their fans and the press are wondering if they are planning on competing once again.
When asked on whether they are thinking of returning to the tough ice skating competition scene, White said that he does not think about it, NBC Sport reported.
In March, they announced that they are not competing in the 2015-2016 season to the dismay of fans who want them to perform as representatives of the country once again.
White revealed that their decision not to compete actually came easily, saying: "It wasn't, like, an answer we had to search for. It wasn't something where we had to sit down and even have a conversation. We just knew."
Fans should not be disappointed however as the skating partners confirmed that they are targeting the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games and may be back to competing through the 2016-17 season.
Meanwhile, though Meryl and Charlie have faced recurring dating rumors in the past, they have remained platonic and professional partners.
In April, White tied the knot with Tanith Belbin in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, as per Us Weekly. Davis also joined the two as they exchanged their wedding vows.
As for Davis, the last time she was linked to someone was with Maks Chmerkovskiy. However, the two admitted that what they shared was only a "showmance" born out of their partnership on "DWTS."
Chmerkovskiy, who has retired from the reality ballroom dancing competition, may be dating Peta Murgatroyd once again after his sweet post on Instagram showing him and Peta doing an intimate "Zorro"-inspired kiss.
As for Meryl, she seems to be enjoying the single life still, or she's just too good in keeping her love life private.
