"Deadpool," without a doubt, is one of the most anticipated superhero movies right now and it's easy to tell why.
Being touted as one of the most faithful comic book adaptations in the big screen, even the costume got it right. And in a report by Cinema Blend, the movie will further differentiate itself from other superhero movies as for the first time ever, that the actor's face will be behind the mask MOST of the time.
For storytelling purposes, most comic book movies try to find ways on how they will show the lead actor's face during action like in Iron Man, there's always a shot showing Robert Downey Jr. inside his suit or sometimes, ditches the mask altogether like Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.
As reported by Comic Book, "Deadpool" director Tim Miller discussed on why they can ditch the usual set-up and said, "If Deadpool were a different type of character, it would be difficult to portray emotion."
Miller then added, "But Deadpool is running at the mouth the whole time. You almost don't need to see his face because he's telling you how he feels constantly."
So simply put, the hero talks so much MOST of the time that there's no need to show his face to express his emotions; he just says it to you directly.
And speaking further about the movie, Miller also tackled the focus of the movie. Like many first instalments of hero movies, "Deadpool" will also be an origin story,
The director discussed thoroughly on how hard they team worked to capture and maintain the character's signature attitude from the comics.
In a report by KPOP Starz, he said, "We come into Wade Wilson before he becomes Deadpool, all the ingredients are in place but they haven't been mixed."
Miller added, "We wrote the story in such a way that we get a really great introduction to Ryan [Wade Wilson] and what he cares about, and why he does this."
"Deadpool" opens in theaters on Feb, 12, 2016.
