Fans would be happy to know that FOX News reported that Renee Zellweger has been spotted up and about filming for the third “Bridget Jones’s Diary” installment. Unfortunately, a lot of people might be disappointed because although it is still Renee Zellweger who will be portraying the beloved character, she won’t be recognizable because of her un-Bridget-Jones-like look.
In 2014, the talented actress made a couple of alterations to her face which resulted to her different appearance. With this, the important questions being raised now that she’s filming “Bridget Jones 3” is: Will her new look as Bridget Jones affect how the movie will fare in cinemas? Will moviegoers still embrace the franchise’s newest offering even if the lead star somehow turned out to be looking like a different character?

For Cate Meighan, she believed the third installment will be successful if it will acknowledge the drastic change Renee Zellweger has made with herself. Meighan said, “I think acknowledging it with one perfectly placed, quick-witted line would really solve any issue.”
Another expert in pop culture, Lisa Durden was certain that “Bridget Jones 3” will flop at the box office because of Renee Zellweger’s different appearance which is a far cry from the original Bridget Jones.
Nevertheless, according to body image expert Sarah Maria, the success of “Bridget Jones 3” will all boil down to moviegoers’ acceptance of Renee Zellweger’s changed look as Bridget Jones.
As she is reportedly working on the “Baby” sequel, her Bridget Jones character is expected to be having a baby in the new movie, whil erumors of her undergoing plastic surgery resurfaced. Curious as to what exactly did the “Jerry Maguire” star did to her face?
Entertainment Tonight previously revealed that when Renee Zellweger debuted her “new” face last October 2014 at ELLE’s 21st Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration, everyone was caught by surprise because it would seem that they were looking at a different person.
Radar Online revealed the Zellweger, who was caught on camera in London where "Bridget Jones 3" currently films, may have undergone a thorough plastic surgery. Sheila Nazarian, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon disclosed that Renee Zellweger looked like she’s had work done on her upper eyelid and a series of botox shots on her forehead.
Dr. Nazarian, who has not handled the surgery of the actress, added, "She has also had cheek filler to lift her midface. With the more chiseled appearance of her lower face, she may have had a buccal fat pad removal as well.”
So, we will have to wait for the final outcome of the “Bridget Jones 3” movie and see how the studio will work around Renee Zellweger’s disparate Bridget Jones image.
