Motorola Droid Turbo 2: Verizon Limited Deal Can Get You Up To $300 Off From The Smartphone's Price

Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will be available on Thursday. The smartphone will hit 1,600 Verizon retail stores as well as online, and it is subject for a special deal, according to Android Central.

For a reportedly limited time, customers can get up to $300 off from the total price of Motorola Droid Turbo 2 when they trade in their smartphone.

Some existing, new and non-Verizon subscribers probably already knew about the switch and save offer of the network, and one of the requirements for this deal is that the smartphone to be traded in must be in good, working condition.

This deal may be an exception. Wired reported that Verizon will accept trade-in phones, even with cracked screen, for the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 trade-in.

Motorola Droid Turbo 2 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994), with Adreno 430 GPU, and a 5.1 Android (Lollipop) operating system. It has been reported that it can be upgraded to Marshmallow.

The device boasts a 3760 mAh battery, 21MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera. It also reportedly features NFC and infrared sensors.

Its 5.4-inch display has a 1440×2560 resolution at 544 ppi. Critics are fairly impressed with this feature, but the best thing about Motorola's new flagship is its shatter-proof screen.

The screen is consisted of five layers, starting with the Aluminum frame, which provides a rigid foundation. It is topped with a flexible AMOLED display, followed by a dual touch layer, an interior lens and an exterior lens for outer protection of the screen.

This video will show you how the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 was made. It wasn't easy making this new smartphone, which the designers and developers admitted.

They encountered a lot of challenges, and one of it is the design. The developers aimed to provide new materials for this phone, and this is where Moto Maker comes in. As per the report of USA Today, Droid Turbo 2 is, in fact, the first Droid phone to take advantage of the customization software.

Motorola stated they wanted to give new materials to the smartphone from leather, to ballistic nylon and even a "soft grip." They also brought sophisticated colors.

The retail price of Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is yet to be confirmed by the phone maker and Verizon. What has been announced, though, is that the U.S.-based carrier will have it available in plans.

The 32GB model will cost $26 per month, while the 64GB variant will cost $30 per month. More details about the pricing are expected when Verizon unveils the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 on Oct. 29.
