"Empire" Season 2 Episode 6 #FindHakeem begins with the premise from last episode's "Be True" where Bryshere Y. Gray's character Hakeem Lyon was shown jogging in the park when he was forcibly taken by a group of men who forced Lucas and Cookie Lyon's youngest son into a waiting van that quickly sped away.
Fans were left in consternation as to how a very prominent and famous member of the Lyon Dynasty were taking a quick jog in a public park without any security or bodyguards at hand.

Heavy revealed a couple of suspects for Hakeem's abduction. One is Laura, Hakeem Lyon's new girl group lead singer. The youngest Lyon assumed that she would be willing to give herself and have sex with him. Another is the daughter of Frank Gathers whom Lucious Lyon killed in prison, Freda. Lastly, Roxanne Ford who has an axe to grind with the music mogul and would do anything to strike Hakeem's father.

Meanwhile, USA Today reported Lee Daniels "Empire" Season 2 is struggling to pick up from its success in Season 1. In a way, the slight waning of the warmth it has received from viewers was because of the quick resolution of the show's original proposition —a modern adaptation of the "The Lion in Winter," with Terrence Howard's Lucious Lyon as the dying king selecting an heir among his three squabbling sons while fighting Taraji P. Henson's Queen Cookie who's back from exile.
This time around in "Empire" Season 2, Lucious Lyon is no longer in his deathbed, his sons are no longer bickering and Cookie is starting her own company.
