‘Scandal’ Season 5 Episode 7 [SPOILERS ALERT!]: Fitz Makes A SHOCKING Discovery While Olivia Keeps Her Own Secrets In ‘Even The Devil Deserves A Second Chance’

Things are getting more exciting in "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 7 as Fitz makes a shocking discovery. While fans seemed to have expected a White House wedding in the series' previous episode, Olivia found a different solution by unleashing more troubles thanks to her father, who was released from jail after she enlisted Mellie's help.

Prior to "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 7 titled, "Even the Devil Deserves a Second Chance," Olivia made a drastic decision because of her love for Fitz. She managed to stop the impeachment proceedings when she conspired with Mellie to free her father Rowan Pope from prison. He then blackmailed the senate judiciary committee that was working on the president's impeachment.

In "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 7, however, Olivia will try her best to keep her own secrets while Fitz may have to go back in hiding soon after he learns some crucial news that may result to his life being in grave danger.

"While Fitz is focused on winning back the American people, he makes a shocking discovery," the synopsis of the upcoming episode read, as per Melty. "Meanwhile, OPA takes on a new client, but Olivia seems preoccupied keeping her own secrets, and Elizabeth North sets her sights on a new agenda."

Despite White House's celebration after the resolution of Fitz's problems, Olivia is carrying the weight of a new secret in "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 7. And according to Fashion & Style, Abby may be turning on Olivia as she thinks that her former boss is covering up something even bigger. Since she already knows when Liv is hiding something, she will definitely to everything to find out.

Aside from Fitz and Olivia, newly-freed Rowan Pope will be stirring some trouble again starting with his daughter, whose bonds between her and virtually everyone around her could be destroyed if the wrong people will find out that she may have been just the one who helped Capitol Hill's mass murderer out of prison, CarterMatt noted.

Since Rowan Pope "escaped" from prison as what Olivia told Fitz in "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 7 trailer, she is informed that the plan is to find her father Rowan aka Eli and put a bullet through his head, Latin Post reported. And in line with his freedom in the series, 68-year-old actor Joe Morton revealed that he had no idea how his character will be able to get out of jail.

"On the surface, it looks like given who Rowan / Eli is, to be in jail for extortion or for embezzlement seems like something that might be easy for him to get out of, but we'll see," he told Deadline. "Who knows what will come out of the mind of Shonda Rhimes."

Meanwhile, "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 7 will premiere on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. For online stream link, click here.
