On the night of Oct. 30, soap actor Nathaniel Marston was traversing a highway in Nevada when he got involved in a freak car accident. When he was pulled out of his car and brought to the hospital, he was already in critical condition.

At the time, seeing his injuries, doctors said that the star may end up paralyze once he recovered. His neck and back were badly injured, thus the doctor worried that he would never be able to walk again and resume his normal life.

Marston's mother, Elizabeth Jackson, updated her Facebook page with the news of what happened the previous night. "Please pray for my son Nathaniel Marston. He was in a car accident last night and is in the intensive care on life support. Back and neck broken in several places. Other internal injuries. Please pray that he will recover and walk again," she wrote.

After a few hours later, Jackson informed everyone that she just talked with the police regarding the investigation on the mishap. She was informed that her son was sober on the night of the crash. And now that it has been verified, she hopes that speculations about Nate's accident would stop by now.

A series of Mrs. Jackson's FB messages were also posted on Daily Mail. She updates her page from time to time, to let everyone know about her son's current health status.

"Just spoke to highway patrol and tribal police. In case rumor mill gets going. Nate was sober according to cops."

But although the police ruled out drunk driving as the cause of the unfortunate incident, they have not yet determined the exact reason why the actor lost control of the car.

Further, Jackson also enumerated the injuries that Nate sustained and asked for prayers. "Please pray that Nate does not end up paraplegic. Neck broken, Fractured in neck vertebrae 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Shoulder broken along . Collapsed lung and pneumonia. Please pray for him."

At any rate, on Nov. 4, Jackson disclosed to ET Online that Nate underwent surgery and his son's operation did not go well. The next day, Nov. 5, she said that his son's heart stopped beating twice. He remained in serious condition and battling pneumonia and heart complications.

She also noted that Nate's vertebrae was severely damaged that he can end up being quadriplegic. But despite this prognosis, she remains positive especially now that her son is already awake and can mouth sentences after his breathing tube was removed.

Janice Ledgerwood also set up an account on GoFundMe for Nate. As narrated on the site, it was created it to "pay monthly bills as well as any unexpected expenses as they occur." As of writing, the amount raised already surpassed the initial target of $10,000.
