Samsung Galaxy S7 To Have A Premium Version? Upcoming Samsung Smartphone To Give The Apple iPhone 6s A Run For The Money

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is not even here, and yet it's already garnering massive amounts of hype and rumors.

As reported by Android Headlines, a Samsung Galaxy S7 unit was tested at an AT&T Facility and the Korean-based smartphone manufacturer is looking for an early launch of the product.

Typically, Samsung would unveil its latest upcoming smartphone at the Mobile World Congress during their "Unpacked" event, but doing an early launch is not exactly new for the tech giant.

Following the early launch of the Galaxy Note 5 this year, the speculations of an early release is just getting stronger. Speculations also implied that the Samsung Galaxy S7 has a planned release sometime near the end of January next year, but an even more recent rumor suggests that this may be the case.

On a similar note, Tech Times reported that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a Premier Edition and it will have a 4K display and a whopping 14-core GPU.

It recently unveiled the Exynos 8890, which is the latest and most advanced chipset that the company could offer. To give you an idea, the Exynos 8890 is expected to power the two variants of the Galaxy S7.

But an even more recent rumor spread that said a different version of the chipset will be used to power a different variant of the S7.

According to the report, Samsung is planning the Galaxy S7 Premium Edition, which is a super spec'd version of the smartphone, which unfortunately will only be sold in the company's home country of South Korea.

The U.S. and Chinese version of the smartphone is speculated to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. While the Exynos 8890 will use the Mali-T880 as its graphics processor with 12 cores, but the Galaxy S7 Premium will pack a Mali-T880 version with 14 cores of GPU.

According to the report, the source of the rumor came from a post on the Weibo social network that unfortunately, is not exactly a fool-proof source of information. Although it's exciting to think about a premium Galaxy S7 that has 4K display and a 14-core GPU, it's advised to take this rumors with a grain of salt until an official announcement from Samsung.

In addition, Forbes reported that the two latest Samsung phones has the model numbers SM-G930A and SM-G935A, which has a big possibility to be the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Another rumor is, apart from the two Galaxy S7 phones, a bendable smartphone is also in the works. It seems that Samsung will try to launch an entirely new product, while having the incoming S7 as a backup.
