‘Friday the 13th: The Game’ Rare Footage REVEALED, [WATCH] Official Sneak Peak Footage

"Friday the 13th: The Game" revealed its first footage recently, giving fans a glimpse of what the horror game is like.

According to Destructoid, fresh from its Kickstarter success, Gun Media, the team behind the upcoming horror game released a rare glimpse of the developing game.

The team said that the "Friday the 13th: The Game" is still in the development stage, and just built a prototype to test and prove out the gameplay design concept. They said that all the assets, character models and animations are just temporary, and described as just a place holder for the game.

Moreover, Gun Media said that the art, sound effects, music and gameplay of the upcoming title, are not final by any means.

As for Game Rant, the game definitely looks rough at its current state, but that is to be expected of any game in this stage. The video released by Gun Media is honestly too dark to really describe what is going on, but it seems to portray the famous Jason Voorhees following a camp counselor through the woods.

The people playing as the counsellors communicate with one another in the video and for the most part, it consisted with them being alerted over Jason Voorhees on their trail. However, there is an interesting exchange about "car parts," which hint that one of the goals of the game may be to rebuild vehicles in order to escape the game's terrifying villain.

It's hard to say what the upcoming "Friday the 13th: The Game" will bring to the table based on the footage, but it does hint at the asymmetrical multiplayer aspect of it. However, it seems as though even after the counsellors die, they can still communicate with their teammates, which will help them escape Jason.

Although literally dark and you can barely see the details, the gameplay footage of "Friday the 13th" shows the basic concept of the game pretty well — Jason Voorhees slaughtering camp counsellors.

Fans and pundits are hoping that the next footage released by Gun Media will feature clearer and sharper visuals, as those who backed the Kickstarter campaign are expecting a much more polished experience from the final product.

In addition, it would be a treat to see how Jason brutally executes the camp counsellors in the game. As reported by Playstation Lifestyle, "Friday the 13th: The Game" will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

It has a projected release in fall of 2016.
