Kate Middleton Causing Trouble To Villagers? Tribute To Duke & Duchess Of Cambridge’s Marriage To Be Burned

Kate Middleton is currently the talk-of-the-town as villagers called for the commemorative gate posts, which were supposed to be a tribute to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's royal wedding, in Bucklebury to be ripped down and burned. While the installation of the posts marked the beginning of a new royal family, residents of the Duchess' former home village in Berkshire have branded the 8-feet tall posts as "eyesore."

The controversial sculptures have been erected at the entrance to Bucklebury village, the former location of the home of Kate Middleton. But the Middletons have since moved out the village. According to The Telegraph, the posts were commissioned by the heir to the Bucklebury estate, William Hartley Russell. However, the posts, which one villager unfavorably compared to "totem poles," had ignited a ferocious debate at the village.

"They should be ripped down and turned into fire wood," one villager said. "That is what should probably be done, chop them down and burn them, just like some gates that that were put up near there in the past." While another added, "I haven't seen them up until now. What on earth has Willie Hartley Russell done that for. There is absolutely no reason for them to be there."

William Hartley Russell, however, defended the artist who created the gate post in honor of Kate Middleton and insisted that they enhance the area. He also added that he personally inspected the posts and said they are "suitable commemoration of the royal wedding."

"First of all, they are gate posts and the estate had to ask for planning permission from the local authority and the parish council for them to be installed," Hartley Russell said. "That was a number of years ago and to my knowledge no one raised any objection to them at the time."

"I feel they are a fitting commemoration of the royal wedding in 2011," he added. "Until then the main thing we had done to commemorate the wedding was some mugs, and this felt like a more appropriate and permanent gesture. After all, it is not every day that you have a member of your community marry the heir to the throne. I have seen and inspected them. In my view they are smart, enhance the area and - this is the key point - I feel they are a fitting, suitable commemoration of the royal wedding. At no point did we set out to upset people with these posts. They were made by a local artist who is both talented and well respected. I am very pleased with them."

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton's sister Pippa is reportedly excited about their upcoming organic food business. The reason? Pippa allegedly wanted to find a new boyfriend following her breakup with Nico Jackson by doing the business.

"She [Kate Middleton] and Pippa are thinking about launching their own line of organic baby food as well as a range of nourishing ready meals for adults," a source from Vanity Fair said. "At the moment it's a bit of a pipe dream, but they are both really into organic produce."

If Kate Middleton's business venture comes to fruition, her sister Pippa will end up meeting a lot more eligible men through the business planning. But aside from the business, Pippa has also found an effective way to cope with her failed relationship and it's through boxing, Daily Mail noted.
