Upgrade Your HTC One A9 With Latest Android OS Update; Android Users To Receive Cool New Feature

It's time for you to upgrade your HTC One A9 with the latest android OS update.

According to GSM Arena, Google unveiled the latest version of Android 6.0.1, also known as Marshmallow.

As noted, this latest iteration of the Android OS brings support for a couple of tweaked features and cool new ones like a dozen of new emojis.

These new emoji update for the HTC One A9 can help express yourself better when talking via chat or SMS.

Emojis has now become very popular with instant messaging services and, now, these fun small illustrations are used more than ever.

Besides the usual "emotion"-based Emojis, there are also other symbols that can represent certain mood such as food and gadgets.

Apart from that useful, but rather silly update, newly positioned navigation buttons for tablets and a change in the "Do Not Disturb" functionality has also been added.

According to Mo Versi, vice president of product management for HTC, the company has announced that the HTC One A9 is going to receive the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow before the end of this month.

The news does not come as a surprise as the company promised that the phone would receive every OS update within 15 days of Nexus devices getting it.

In addition, Android Headlines reported that Versi also reassured HTC customers that unlocked One M9 smartphone units purchased in the U.S. are also going to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow before the end of the year. This comes after the One M8 from 2014 has already started receiving the update.

Its great news that these handsets from the Taiwan-based handset manufacturer is receiving every latest update, thereby keeping it in line with its rivals.

As noted, the company has built a solid reputation for making smartphones that can be described as one of the better looking phones available in the market.

Besides being known for building quality-built devices, HTC also wants to be known for providing an overall great experience that is brought by its line of smartphones.

Case in point, the HTC One A9 is noted to be the first phone to have an unlockable bootloader without voiding the warranty and it even includes the "Uh-Oh" protection plan that replaces the hardware of the device, in case of accidents.

PHAndroid noted that the units will receive the update within 15 business days — excluding Christmas, meaning that at the latest, HTC users will receive the new update by Dec. 28.
