'Super Smash Brothers 4' DLC: Cloud From 'Final Fantasy VII' Coming To The Game; Hit Nintendo Brawler Coming To An End?

"Super Smash Brothes 4" just got a bit better with the announcement of its latest DLC.

What's in the DLC? Just the addition of Cloud Strife! The main character from the hit classic game, "Final Fantasy VII."

As reported by Christian Today, Nintendo is speculated to announce the inclusion of the popular character in its latest downloadable content.

In a report by Polygon, ever since the video game company confirmed Cloud is coming, fans have been feeling excited and faithfully anticipating when they will finally get to use him in the hit brawler game.

But the wait is finally over because there is a strong possibility that in the special "Super Smash Brothers 4" livestream event today, the character will be officially added into the game.

Furthermore, it is also expected that there will be additional new stages to the game with regards to Cloud's arrival.

There is a high chance that the new levels added to the game will be related to the new character's original realm.

But apart from that, Nintendo will also use the event as a platform to reveal which characters from various gaming universes will also be added in the game as requested by fans through the "Fighters Ballot."

In addition, the upcoming "Super Smash Brothers 4" livestream event will be concluding the series of special presentations dedicated to the game.

Game Spot presented a similar report and said that the director of the game said that the game and its DLCs will be ending soon.

Speaking about the future of the game, the director, Masahiro Sakurai, was hesitant regarding the continuation of the hit franchise.

Sakurai said that, "How much a character will please the players, how unique they are--there are a lot of factors that go into deciding a character's inclusion,"

He added that, "I don't know whether Fire Emblem will have many more games in the future, but it's not as if we have a stipulation that says, 'We have to include the protagonist of the next Fire Emblem game.' Moreover, we don't even know if there'll be another Smash game."

Despite the rather shocking revelation, this is not the first time that the director has talked about the end of the series. A year ago, he said that he did not think that the game would get sequels and if it does continue, he may not be a part of it.

And come today, Nintendo will hold what it's calling the "final" Nintendo Direct briefing for "Super Smash Bros."

The game has more than 4 million copies sold and is one of, if not the best-selling Wii U game by Nintendo.
