Scheduling Work Breaks Efficiently Can Ensure Positivity and Maximum Productivity

People in this day and age are working too hard. They tend to overwork because of their desire to move up the career ladder faster. They would sit almost 7 hours a day at their desk and just work on their reports, trying to beat deadlines.

Little did they know that this isn't only unhealthy for the body, but also unhealthy for their mind and feelings. The productivity of a person is about 3 to 5 hours on average. If you work too hard and neglect to take care of your body, you'll easily get burned out and eventually lead to unhappy work life.

According to Globe and Mail, a worker should be able to schedule enough breaks in order to ensure work productivity. First we need to remember the ideal ratio of work to breaks. Draugiem Group, a research group said that it would be best to work for an hour straight and take a 15 minute break. Travis Bradberry, also advised that every person should plan their day like this. When taking a break please make sure to stand up and stay away from phones and computers.

Next, when having a discussion, make sure to focus on stories and not just the PPT slides. Wally Bock said that during this situation PowerPoint is the enemy and the stories is the friend. If your presentation or discussion doesn't focus on technical details like graphs for instance, then forget the PowerPoint. Make a list of stories you can share during that time and make sure to plan the intervals into one story every four minutes.

Then, make sure that when you use links in the website try adding the "Learn More" link. This draws a reader to the website. Make sure to add more descriptive words in order for the reader to know where this link is heading.

Lastly, try to think that work is like a sitcom. When we feel stressed, it's always best to have a mindset that the work environment is like a sitcom. This will allow you to look at your fellow colleagues in a more colorful way rather than in a dark stressful way. This will help you radiate positivity in the workplace which is helpful not only for you but for everyone around you as well.
