Amazon Prime has built a reputation on retail delivery but in the past year it has also established the same expectation in its other categories. Now, Amazon is offering Prime subscribers with 20% savings on new video game releases.
If you haven't subscribed to Amazon Prime yet, the service costs $99 per year. Members will get 20% off on new physical copies of video games that are pre-ordered or are purchased within the first two weeks of release. Good news for video game collectors - because the discount also includes higher priced and special collector's editions. However, this discount won't cover bundles - this is unfortunate news if you already have a console bundled parked in your shopping cart.
Prime subscribers gets a free release day delivery of new games. Amazon's Prime service has recently amassed 3 million new members and TVPredictions publisher Phil Swann explains that Amazon may have decided to promote this new move on their Video Games category in order to gain more young subscribers. Prime initially gained popularity through its free two-day shipping on retail items and has extended its reach to video streaming services on their website.

The 2016 most anticipated games of the year include Assassin's Creed Chronicles, Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster, Final Fantasy Explorers, Lego Avengers and Hitman.
So if you're a big video gamer fan and at the same time, already have an Amazon account. This might just be for you. But just to make it clear, buyers have to subscribe to Prime first and the games purchased must be sold and shipped by Amazon and not by a third-party seller, further details are stated on their website.
