Melissa McCarthy’s Weight Loss Was Not Easy, ‘Mike And Molly’ Star Remembers Being Mocked For Her Body Size

"Give me your best punch in the face, and I'll take that punch, rather than have my kid feel bad about herself," said Melissa McCarthy when discussing about why she decided to lose weight. When McCarthy started to lose 75 pounds, as previously reported by Jobs & Hire, it was not just about for her health but it was also for her daughters.

According to a recent article from Hollywood Take, the comedienne is doing everything she can to make sure her own girls won't suffer the same criticism she has endured in the past. The article included McCarthy saying that the country is fixated on looks where girls feel bad about their own appearance because of criticism from other people. "It starts very young. My message is that as long as everybody's healthy, enjoy and embrace whatever body type you have," McCarthy explained.

Because she wants every female of different shapes and sizes feeling good, her fashion line "Seven7" is dedicated to making sure that every woman can wear stylish and flattering clothes that are size 14 and higher. The "Gilmore Girls" veteran believes that when a woman feels good about her clothes, she's more nicer. "I look at the world a little differently. The small happy moments add up. A little bit of joy goes a long way."

Ultimately, McCarthy just stopped worrying about her weight and focused on being happy. What are your thoughts about her reason for losing weight?
