‘Hunter X Hunter’ Manga Confirmed To Be Published By Shonen Jump; Fans Tired Of Waiting?

The "Hunter x Hunter" manga continuation has been confirmed for Apr. 18. It will be published by Viz' Shonen Jump magazine.

Anime News Network reported that the "Hunter x Hunter" manga continuation will be released on the digital edition of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The new monthly "Naruto" manga spin-off series "Boruto" and its "Naruto" one-shot will also be published with the publication.

Viz has announced that the three manga will run in Japan in the coming months. The "Hunter x Hunter" manga continuation will be available on Apr. 18 while the "Naruto" one-shot will be printed on Apr. 25. The "Boruto" spin-off series will be launched on May 9.

It was also revealed that Erika Harlacher will play Kurapika in the English dub of the 2011 to 2014 "Hunter x Hunter" anime. Other confirmed cast includes Cristina Vee as Killua Zoldyck, Matthew Mercer as Leorio and Keith Silverstein as Hisoka.

It was previously reported that the "Hunter x Hunter" manga continuation this 2016 will pick up with the Dark Continent arc. Creator Yoshihiro Togashi is also set to finally return.

According to Crunchyroll, the publisher has teased the manga series' return last week. The series' total print run has reached 66 million copies, with 32 tankobon volumes.

The Bitbag noted that fans may no longer be excited over the "Hunter x Hunter" manga's return with all those years of waiting. There is little hype about the series' continuation and this doesn't seem to bode well for Togashi.

"Exactly my thoughts this isn't even news," Redditor YouAreDeadHS wrote. There are some who are thrilled with the announcement, though. "Hey! We're all excited here, all news is good news in my opinion," Reddit user icebrotha commented.

RocketNews24 added that 2015 was "a disappointing year" for fans since there was not a single manga that was published in the year. This marked the end of Yoshihiro Togashi's 25-year record.
