PokerStars has finally made its move in New Jersey. The company was noted to debut its operation in the region and at the same time enjoying the full consent from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).
It stands out that the firm had previously been manning the soft launch phase for the past Thursday in which they were able to gain the approval from the regulators and passed the protocols pertaining to geolocation and age-verification.
According to a recent report from Cards Chat , "PokerStarsNJ.com, has passed with flying colors, and with none of the technical hiccups, geolocation in particular, that dogged its competitors when they launched in the market in late 2013 and early 2014."

Moreover, the presence of PokerStars has ignited the interest of the dwellers in the region. To prove the latter, one player, Matt Sullivan, currently residing in Philadelphia but plans on taking some trips to New Jersey to play stated, "I think the return of PokerStars is great. Above anything, name recognition will hopefully boost the activity of online poker in New Jersey. It's a shame that on some of the current sites traffic is so low, and I think PokerStars has the capability of dramatically increasing traffic on the tables."
