It appears that after closing its doors to the world, Cuba is finally opening up its shores and skyline again. Even the Carnival Cruises are now able to set sail for the shores of Cuba.
It has been affirmed that the Carnival Cruise ships are among the lucky ones to be granted access to roam the coast of Cuba. According to a post from Fortune, Carnival is the first U.S. cruise ship operator in 50 years that was granted by the Cuban authorities to sail from the United States to the Caribbean Island without having to worry of being shot down or illegally accessing the shoreline of the nation.
The same post added, "The Company said it would begin to travel to Cuba on May 1 on its 704-passenger MV Adonia through its newest brand, the social impact-focused Fathom line. Carnival had won permission last July from U.S. officials to operate limited cruises into Cuba starting this year."
It stands out that the recent proclamations rendered forth by the Carnival's CEO Arnold Donald, while he was speaking in Havana seem to go alongside the historic trip that the U.S. President Barack Obama has made to Cuba. Even the timeline revealed striking resemblance, particularly since it has been more than 50 years that Cuba opened its doors to the world, as reported by Jobs & Hire
To prove the latter, even CEO Donald said, "Today, we made history. I want to thank the U.S. and the relevant Cuba personnel that we've been working with to have this historic opportunity." It stands to reason that both worlds are now interlinked. With the establishment of this historic agreement, Cuba and its connection with Carnival Cruises are forever bound.
