Kanye West’s ‘Life Of Pablo’ Merchandise Gains $1 Million In Sales?

Kanye West has reportedly earned $1 million from his "Life of Pablo" pop-up store. The rapper made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday.

Business Insider reported that Kim Kardashian's husband was able to gain a million from sales of his "Life of Pablo" pop-up shop. The store was opened from Mar. 18 to 20 in New York City.

Among Kanye West's "Life of Pablo" merchandise were a $200 booklet of nudes, a $350 bomber jacket, a $400 jean jacket and a $45 Donda West/Robert Kardashian memorial shirt. He wore the shirt recently during an appearance on "Saturday Night Live."

The rapper went on a Twitter rant on Tuesday and seemed to be bragging about his success. "but there is no other brand that could sell 1 million dollars of clothing in 2 days from 1 location!!! [sic]," West tweeted.

"I promise I will never let the people down," he said in another tweet. "I want a better life for all!!! Pablo Pablo Pablo Pablo!"

According to Music Times, there were mixed reactions about the success of Kanye West's "Life of Pablo" merchandise sales. It was noted that he was able to sell his entire Yeezy Season 1 collection in October of last year.

"The buzz surrounding the launch of the Kanye West x Adidas Originals Yeezy Season 1 was amazing, yet anticipated," Tom Kalenderian, executive vice president of men's merchandising at Barneys, said to The Daily Beast. "This designer has had a profound influence on music, popular culture and fashion; with his finger on the pulse of his followers. The excitement extended well beyond his fan base; reaching fashion customers all wanting to experience his vision with this collection."

Billboard noted that a retail analyst is skeptical about Kanye West's "Life of Pablo" merchandise sales amounting to $1 million since it seemed like an "awful lot" for just two days. Another specialist did believe the rapper's claim because of the high demand for "Pablo"-branded goods.
