PS 4.5 Release Confirmed: Holiday Season 2016 Launch Underway, Source Revealed

Rumors about Sony launching a PlayStation 4.5 has circulated online. While no official confirmation has been made about this newest offering, several sources have already guaranteed its existence online.

YouTube Channel The Know, has recently revealed that a December 2016 release for the PS 4.5 could be underway, and it can be sold for $400. "If Holiday 2016 release date turns out to be true then expect an official announcement from Sony at E3 2016," Game Pur noted.

While it's still not known whether the PS 4.5 will be a whole new console altogether or an upgrade of the current model, sources believe that this newest development has already received the green light. Kotaku was the first to report on after the Game Developers Conference 2016.

Since the rumors started to circulate, several news sites and tech blogs made their own investigation about the new offering. Eurogamer, another popular gaming site, recently offered its two cents on Sony's latest move claiming that the PS 4.5 could have three different paths.

"The first is a more powerful console with two times the graphical processing power of the CPU that could be priced at $399," IBT noted. "The second is a minor processing upgrade with improvements to graphics to new and older games. Support for 4K with Netflix and other media and an improvement beyond 1080p for games. The third is a 'slim' option with 4K and high dynamic range (HDR) compatibility."
