Singer Sues McDonalds: Glass Shard in Chicken Burger Ruined Her Gospel Singer Career?

Jacqueline Simpson, a 52-years-old Gospel singer, is suing McDonalds for a mishap with a chicken burger that she ate at a McDonalds on Broadway, near the World Trade Center. The Gospel singer claims that, in 2010, she bit into a sandwich that contained a shard of glass that is the size of a penny.

"Now when I sing, I have a hoarse, rattly voice," Simpson recounts her loss of ability to sing Soprano.

As a clerk in the Attorney General's office, she depicts her career, "I have to make a lot of calls for work, and I have to tell people that I am not a man. Before, that never happened."

Earlier in March, Anishi Spencer, a mother of two sons, watched her son cough up a piece of an used condom she found in a McDonalds playground. Both of the sons needed medical treatment.

September last year, Katherine Ashowo, an Oklahoma native allegedly bit into a chocolate chip cookie that contained a shard of sharp plastic. She was spitting out blood in front of her children. McDonalds issued a statement of apology.
