iOS 9.3's New Features: Here’s a Quick Guide in Using Apple's Latest Update

Updates released by Apple usually involves improvements that would make the iOS run smoothly. However, believe it or not, iOS 9.3 is considered to be a big software update that has a lot of hidden features that involves scheduling Night Shifts, protecting your notes and other secrets with passwords, and more.

For instance, iOS 9.3 introduces the Night Shift. This is a setting where the display colors on the phone warms up, saving users from that blue light that seems to be just too bright during nighttime. Blue light is known to be connected to sleep deprivation.

One can set Night Shift to turn on automatically at sunset or scheduling it by simply looking under Display & Brightness option in the Settings. There is also an option to turn this feature both on and off in the Control Center. Unfortunately, MacWorld revealed that this feature does not work if the device is in Low Power Mode.

The latest update also has some interesting added feature on Notes and Photos: password protection. Yes, one can now add a password lock in the Notes app. "Once you set a password for Notes, don't forget to click on the actual lock icon to keep your most precious (or embarrassing) ramblings private," MacWorld reported.

Another feature of the iOS 9.3 is the ability to extract still images from any Live Photo. How? Go to your Photos app, click on Share, and then choose the option that allows you to duplicate the Live Photo or the still image.

Finally, with this version, the Health app is better than it already is. There is now an option to access one's Medical ID and Dashboard straight from the Homescreen with 3D Touch Quick Actions. Now a person can track all his or her improvement using one application. It is indeed hassle-free!
