Amazon Introduces New Portable Speaker Called Tap

Amazon has introduced a new portable speaker called Tap at a price of $130 that carries a number of functionalities by activating a voice command to Alexa.

The Amazon Tap is an entertaining and very useful device that will allow users to play music from their phones, stream through Wi-Fi connectivity, check the weather forecast or news and will also enable them to add up appointments to their calendar or tasks on their to-do-list.

The new device is one of the third member in the devices trio of Amazon Echo, which is the original device priced at $180, the new Amazon Echo Dot prices at $89.99 while the Amazon Tap prices at $130.

With the Echo and Echo Dot works on voice command with Alexa which will enable users to access different options to choose from when activated. The Echo already carries a speaker while the Dot doesn't carry one, but needs to be connected to an audio setup.

The Tap on the other hand is more like a mobile member which makes it a bit different from the other two versions due to the fact that the device is battery powered.

However, the new speaker is not always in listening mode for a user to interact with it. So to interact with the device, a user must first press a button to activate the speaker in order to save battery when it is not in use.

Amazon Tap when compared to other Bluetooth speakers is not really as powerful as Bose SoundLink Color or JBL Charge 2+, although its way better in multi-tasking than any other rival devices. And when it comes to personal assistant roles, the Dot and the Echo are better at it.

The Amazon Tap is probably the best on the market when it comes to Bluetooth speaker features, including customers who are looking for a Bluetooth speaker integrated with a personal assistant.
