It's too hard to guess what Apple has coming up next its sleeve. During WWDC 2013 this year, they introduced the next OS X with a cat-unrelated name, Mavericks, and introduced hardware that's more epic than ever before.
Let's start with the MacBook Air.
"All the power you want. All day long." The new MacBook Air boasts of up to 9 hours of run time for the 11-inch MacBook Air, and up to 12 hours of run time for the 12-inch counterpart. The incredible models are able to play iTunes movies for 8 and 10 hours respectively. With up to 30 days of standby time, MacBook Air users can really just close their laptop and reopen it within days to get back to where they were working on. That's superb compared to current models.
With 802.11ac support, the MacBook Air can "experience wireless performance up to 3x faster than the previous generation. 802.11ac also delivers expanded range, so [MacBook Air users] can work more freely than ever."
The 45% faster storage in the new MacBook Air will make the new laptop more fast and more able to please than its previous generations. The price of the 11-inch MacBook Air starts at $999, while the 13-inch MacBook Air starts at $1099.
Next up, Mac Pro.
Mac Pro blows your mind with its amazing design. The round bin-shaped Mac Pro is covered with a shiny aluminum surface, an eighth of the size of the current model, but excels it in every way.
The Mac Pro, generally used for designers for intense graphics needs, delivers to its niche users the graphics power necessary. The new Mac Pro will supply 2 of AMD's FirePro workstation-level GPUs with 6GB of dedicated VRAM. With this newfound power, many videography editors will be able to "seamlessly edit full-resolution 4K video while simultaneously rendering effects in the background — and still have enough power to connect up to three high-resolution 4K displays" to their Mac Pro.
With Mac Pro's 'next-generation E5 processors,' the new product boasts of 12 cores of processing power. As Mac Pro is shipping 'later this year,' it is possible it'll be supporting the next-in-line 'Ivy Bridge' E5 processors.
With PCIe Flash storage, the powerful Mac will serve graphics editors' need to quickly read and write large files on their machine. The 2.5 times improvement on the new Mac Pro will be "10 times faster than a 7200-rpm SATA hard drive... So booting up, launching apps, even opening massive files happens in, well, a flash."
The new Mac Pro's innovation in making heat stay in one place will reduce the need for more than one fan. The heat core will be shared and cooled by one unit, so that if one core is not being used while the other two are super hot, the heat will be transferred to the unused core, so that it can maximize airflow and create the coolest Mac Pro yet. The new fan will bring air from the bottom up the device, and release the air up top, volcano style.
The newly designed Mac Pro fan will draw air more efficiently and thus creating less noise as it draws air. Even the shape of the blade has been reconsidered, along with the size, amount, and spacing between the blades. It is a magical invention.
The energized Mac Pro has 4 USB 3 ports, 6 Thunderbolt 2 ports, 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 1 HDMI 1.4 port.
