Prince Siblings Poised To Get Millions But Keep Low Profiles

It's not all gloomy and dark for the siblings of the recently departed Prince George Nelson. Recent developments are making it clear that his siblings will receive millions of dollars each from the reported $300 million or so left by the 57-year old music icon.

That is, if no will is ever found. There is still no report if Prince left a will for the millions he has accumulated during his colorful, albeit, sometimes difficult music career. His siblings are keeping their low profiles, though.

He has three brothers and three sisters still living and two who are already deceased, but only one of them being a full sibling. The rest are half-brothers and half-sisters.

His full sister is the younger Tyka Nelson, 55, who has initiated the work to settle Prince's estate. She seems to be the closest to the deceased singer and lives at a Minneapolis house owned by her famous brother.

Prince has an older half-brother, Alfred Jackson, aged 63 who is a Vietnam veteran and now lives with a brother in Kansas City. He, Prince and Tyka share the same mother. Alfred said he had not talked with the music icon for almost 15 years.

The singer also had two half-sisters older than him, Sharon, 76, and Norrine, 74 who shared the same father. Another half-brother, John is already 72 and is the only one who did not attend the first probate hearing held last Monday. He is reportedly living in Kansas City.

Omarr Baker is another half-brother, the son of his mother and her second husband. He is reportedly living in Golden Valley on a house owned by Prince.

The singer also had two deceased half siblings, Lorna Nelson, dead at 63, and Duane Nelson, who died in 2011.

Since both parents of the singer are already deceased, the next in line to receive his wealth is his full sister, Tyka. However, if no will is found, she has to share the money with all five of Prince's half-siblings, according to Jeffrey P. Scott, a partner at Jeffrey P. Scott & Associates in St. Paul, Minnesota.
