‘Injustice 2’ Game Characters To Come From DC And Marvel?

There are speculations that the "Injustice 2" game characters will be from the DC and Marvel universe. A release date has not been announced yet.

Last year, Franchise Herald reported that the "Injustice 2" game characters may introduce key DC heroes such as Captain Atom, Vixen and Black Canary. It may also include Red Hood and Amazo.

Meanwhile, Den of Geek made a list of the 10 "Injustice 2" game characters that could possibly make their debut in the highly-anticipated sequel. Supergirl, Static, Poison Ivy, The Shade, Red Hood, Captain Cold, Bleez, Darkseid, Amazo and Booster Gold may make their appearances in the video game.

There were speculations that the "Injustice 2" game release date may coincide with "Batman v Superman." The film premiered last March but no game was made available at the time.

According to YHM, the "Batman v Superman" movie's release date would have been the perfect time for NetherRealm Studios to ride on the film's popularity. It could have also ensured massive success for the "Injustice 2" game.

Moreover, the "Injustice 2" game may be a DC vs. Marvel crossover. In 2014, DC Comics Mexico's official Facebook page shared a fan-made image which hinted that the game may be a DC vs. Marvel crossover.

The image has since been removed. However, the crossover would make sense since Capcom's license to create Marvel games has expired and NetherRealms Studios could pick it up.

It was previously reported that news about the "Injustice 2" game may be announced at E3 2016. Samsung Mobile recently posted a teaser which appears to be connected with the highly-anticipated video game.

The short clip showed Batman's logo on what seems to be a device with a spotlight going back and forth the symbol. The logo of "Injustice: Gods Among Us" can also be seen at the lower right corner of the screen.

This sparked speculations that "Mortal Kombat X" developers NetherRealm Studios will be announcing "Injustice 2" news at E3 2016. This generated excitement for fans who have waited years for the sequel to the 2013 hit.
