’Warcraft 2’ Movie Sequel Spilers: Director Duncan Jones Ready To Make ‘World of Warcraft’ Trilogy

By Jane Reed

After the success of "Warcraft," director Duncan Jones is ready to hit the production wheel again to create a "Warcraft 2" movie sequel only if he is allowed.

Jones has been hinting at a "Warcraft 2" movie sequel in the next few years. World of Warcraft followers are eager to see WoW favorites in the future movies. According to The Inquisitr, the first movie was a retelling of "Warcraft 1." It was the story between Orcs and Humans. That is why the first movie is focused on the First War. That also meant that the first movie did not feature other character favorites like the Undead, Night Elves, Blood Elves, Worgen, Death Knights and Horde Paladins.

Duncan knew that his role was to establish the story and the characters right, in the first movie. "I know that my job in this first film is to establish certain characters, places and culture while telling a story that a broad audience can be excited by!" Jones explained. He cannot contain his excitement for the sequel. "There is certainly plenty more to tell! ... I would love to be part of that process of expanding on the lore that makes up Warcraft, but it will all depend on what you, the audience, think of our first film!"

Duncan tweeted out that he'd love to make the sequel if he's allowed. "If it becomes an option, I'd love to," Jones told one fan after he was asked if he would do a "Warcraft 2" movie sequel. "Don't think we are quite there yet, but on the way, and doing good. I'm desperate to do Taurens. We'll just have to wait and see if we get the chance."

It is not clear if "Warcraft 2" will focus on the next installment "Tides of Darkness" or go ahead to the "World of Warcraft movies."
