Why You Should Upgrade Your iPhone, iPad OS to iOS 10

One of the best features of iOS 10 was its whole new raft of communication-focused features like voicemail transcription, its revamped platform for Messages including new stickers and other fun and gimmicky apps. Apple Music, Notifications, Siri, new Home app kit to help you organize your HomeKit accessories, and much more.

There's a lot to be more excited about this upgrade which can create an exciting environment for the user. Below are some of it.

Messages

Apple considered the update in messages  as the star of the iOS 10. It gives the user more for an easy and fun way to message family and friends because of its enhanced graphic embellishments.  A Digital Touch module also was included in this message upgrade, wherein a user can send messages along with doodles, bouncing text bubbles, GIFS or handwritten notes. In addition, emoji's or smiley's, which were used as an emoticons, have gotten a new look and were three times bigger than its older versions.

Control Center

The Control Center also had an improved look and feel with some added features, but the other functions have stayed like the Do Not Disturb, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, flashlight, brightness controls and orientation lock.

Notifications and lock screen

Users will likely be more interested in the redesigned notifications and lock screen as it gives quick interaction to information that was time sensitive. To view a notification, the user just have to pick it up and no need to press a button to activate it.

Furthermore, the Apple Music selection in iOS 10 was given a big lift with being more graphical, intuitive and customizable for the user, while Siri also had an improved Siri responses.

Cons

However, on every upgrade or releases, there would always be glitches. According to CNET, users who did the update by WiFi commonly experienced problems getting error messages right after installing the upgrade. The worst part is, after the installation is complete, another error occurred saying a system restore is a must; however, Apple already announced that they fixed this bug.

Users must always remember that before pushing through with any upgrade, a backup should be made first. Once the new OS is installed, the user should do some testing on it, such as checking the sounds and other settings. Although, one should be careful as beta releases are unpredictable  and users may experience some headache.
