‘Power Rangers’ 2017 Movie Release & Updates: Final Release Date Revealed; Fans Disappointed Over PR Adaptation’s Re-casting?

The "Power Rangers" Movie team has announced the film's final release, which is said to hit the big screens on March 24, 2017

Fans of the longstanding characters of Power Rangers are excited to learn the release date of the upcoming PR movie adaptation. Nevertheless, there are fans who are disappointed that the original characters from the series will not be part of the movie.

As to the story arc of "Power Rangers," the trailer released during the San Diego Comic-Con only revealed that Yellow Ranger is in danger in the hands of the movie's main villain Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks).

Furthermore, the trailer also showed that a monster from the Super Sentai series will appear, and now, fans are asking if more of them will be joining "Power Rangers" movie adaptation.

Previously, there were even rumors that the cast in the original series will be appearing in the show; however, an interview by Audibly Exquisite Podcast with the actors from the original series, Walter Jones (Black Ranger) and Karan Ashley (Yellow Ranger), confirmed that they will not make an appearance in "Power Rangers." Jones did not even hide her disappointment that they were not tapped to appear in the movie, although she said that she is still excited to see the new PR movie adaptation. Still, many are excited to see the differences and similarities of the movie from the series.

There is no announcement yet as to the exact filming date for the movie, but the director assured that "Power Rangers" production will be starting anytime soon.

Meanwhile, the main villain for the next season of "Power Rangers Ninja Steel" will be Galvanax, the reigning champion in the "Galaxy Warriors."

It is also confirmed that the intergalactic game show will remain part of the show, as proven also by its logo which incorporates the main shurkien from its Japanese counterpart, Ninninger, with the space looking background to it. Reports also confirmed that Chantz Simpson will be replaced by Nico Greetham from Saban Brands for its 24th season, Den of Geek reported.

No concrete reports yet as to the reason why there was a sudden re-casting, nonetheless, many fans are excited how Greetham will portray the role.
