Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Alternative: Google Pixel XL, LG V20, Or Samsung S7 Edge?

Samsung had recently issued a worldwide recall of their Galaxy Note 7 and has since stopped the production and distribution of the device. The massive recall was due to the fact that the Galaxy Note 7 has a tendency to overheat and explode. Though early reviews for the Galaxy Note 7 were high, the future of the phablet is unclear.

Galaxy Note 7 users need to replace their phones immediately but for a smartphone that has such high reviews, it might be a bit difficult to do so. Here are some really good Samsung Galaxy Note 7 alternatives that can rival its performance.

Google Pixel XL

The new Google Pixel XL has a slightly smaller screen than the Galaxy Note 7 at 5.5 inches. It has a Quad HD display and features the same processor which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. The Google Pixel XL is splash resistant and has a very impressive 12 MP camera that can shoot amazingly well in low light conditions. The phone looks very sleek and comes in a variety of color. It also has an intelligent personal assistant called "Google Assistant" that can be very helpful in day to day life.

LG V20

The flagship phone of LG is Android Nougat equipped and has a 5.7-inch Quad HD display similar to the Galaxy Note 7. It has a Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB or RAM and 64GB of storage. It is slightly more expensive than the Google Pixel however, their specs are quite comparable. It does, however, have a two-camera set-up with a combination of an 8MP wide angle sensor and 16MP sensor. The phone is heavily loaded with features and if it matters, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung S7 Edge

Users who are used to Samsung can opt to have their overheating Galaxy Note 7 be replaced with an S7 Edge instead. Its specification is almost the same as the Note 7 minus the overheating battery part. It has a slightly smaller screen at 5.5 inches and lacks the features of an S-Pen but everything else is the same.
