‘Beyond Good And Evil 2’ To Debut With Nintendo NX; Release Date To Be Announced

The Nintendo NX debut is teeming with powerhouse games and it may just add a little extra muscle as rumors suggest that the game "Beyond Good And Evil 2" will be tagging along to its list.

A new "Beyond Good And Evil 2" game is now officially in pre-production mode. And the good news for hardcore Nintendo fans is that rumors point that it will be an NX exclusive. The report states that the game would be shown at the Nintendo NX launch event and will be announced as an exclusive for the console.

The plot for the game is a bit hazy at this point. Sources say that the latest "Beyond Good and Evil" game won't be a direct sequel to the first game but rather a stand-alone reboot. This is a bit of a curious decision as the game has a cult following amongst fans who would appreciate a sequel. But according to some reports the makers of the game will address some of the cliffhangers that occurred in the first game making this somewhat of a partial reboot.

According to the website Lets Play Video Games, the creator's intention is to make the game a bit easier for new gamers who did not have a chance to experience the original game released in 2003. The new game is said to flesh out the entire story and fill out themes that where left off in the original.

If fans of the original are sorely disappointed, they might take comfort with the fact that this game might be the reintroduction plan of Ubisoft (publisher of the game) to freshen up the game to newer gamers and open it up to more sequels in the future.

If the rumors are proved to be true, The Nintendo NX just might get that third party backing it so desperately needs.
