Sora of 'Kingdom Hearts' Crosses Over To 'World Of Final Fantasy'; Sephiroth Makes A Comeback

Fans of both the 'Final Fantasy' and 'Kingdom Hearts' franchise are in for an astounding twist as Sora is made available via downloadable content for a limited time as a champion summon in 'World of Final Fantasy.' This is fortunately in time with the release of Sora's home-game early next year, 'Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue HD.'

As reported by Polygon, Sora will be the first of the non-Final Fantasy characters to grace the game which was launched earlier this week. 'World of Final Fantasy' illustrates a carefully engineered CGI environment coupled with enlarged cartoony heads of characters hailing from every corner of the Final Fantasy universe. Sora, however, won't have any trouble fitting in as he has crossed swords with a few characters from the RPG game such as Squall, Tidus, and Cloud in another crossover in 'Kingdom Hearts.'

It is not just Sora who's going to be available to 'World of Final Fantasy.' The all-time favorite Sephiroth, the villain of 'Final Fantasy VII,' can also be summoned in the game, though it will be a bit trickier.

Sephiroth can be obtained as a champion summon only if the player has the Day One edition of the game, which means not everyone can get the long sword-wielding villain. Aside from him, players can also get Japanese voice-overs, Red Bonnetberry, Glow Moogle and White Chocobo with the said game edition, as per GameNGuide.

'World of Final Fantasy' revolves around the twins Rain and Lon who are in a mysterious world that they do not remember. They have to travel through Grimoire to meet familiar Final Fantasy characters and befriend monsters as they try to recall their memories, GameSpot reports.

The game is officially released Oct. 25 in the United States and Oct. 28 in other European countries. For those who want to try the game first before making the purchase, a special demo version is also available for download online.
