Latest On The Walking Dead: Glenn's Final Word Meaning Revealed

The latest on "The Walking Dead" might leave fans with a little mist in their eye. As Steven Yeung, the actor who plays Glenn in the hit TV series explained what his character's final words really mean.

Many fans are still reeling from the fact that fan favorite Glenn won't be part of the show anymore. His last words were "I will find you" directed towards his character's wife, Maggie, while he is bludgeoned to dead with a baseball bat covered in barbed wire.

Being a recently married man himself, Yeung views his final words as something that goes beyond a simple character portrayal. For him, it dwells deeper and is something much more meaning. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he has this to say about the particular harrowing scene:

"Even for myself, being newly married, you know that love, and you know what his final wishes are, that he would go so far to say even in his broken state, 'I will find you.' That's heavy."

And for fans who are still hoping that they pull off a long shot miracle even for TV. The interview also asked Stephen to elaborate on what those words actually mean. This is what he had to say:

"I think he means a lot of things," says Yeun. "Part of it is that he's just had his brain knocked in and is glitching. And maybe he's going back to a time when he was looking for Maggie when they were separated. Maybe he's trying to leave a lasting legacy of what it is to be Glenn at that moment and to be selfless and say, 'Don't worry, I will always be here,' or 'There's nothing that can separate us,' and that could definitely be it. But I think the beauty of this particular situation is the fact that it's so layered, and you can draw whatever you want out of those words."

So there is that. Sadly, the latest on the Walking Dead is that there is no possible way for Glenn to be back on the show. Unless it is some flashback or hallucination type of thing.

"The Walking Dead" airs every Sunday at 9 pm on AMC. Be sure to catch the next episode to be up to date on the latest walking dead happenings.
