Max Verstappen Hailed For Masterful Driving Spectacle At Brazilian Grand Prix

In horribly wet conditions, Max Verstappen clawed his way back to third place after falling back to 14th after his final pit stop in the 55th lap. The Red bull driver was audibly nervous at the severe pour out of rain, telling his team via radio the drivers were merely waiting for the worst to happen.

Earlier in the race Max Verstappen had swept around the outside of world championship leader Nico Rosberg at Turn Three with another astonishing act of wheel-perfect daring. The Red Bull driver then held on to second place ahead of Rosberg despite a spin on the penultimate corner that triggered what was described as a lucky turn that saved the season as the 19-year-old just managed to keep his car in control.

By the 35th lap he was able to take second over Rosberg and clock the fastest lap of the race and it only got better. The Red bull racer made his home country commentators scream and swear live on air after he pulled out of a potentially-devastating slide towards the barrier in the 39th lap.

Verstappen's incredible race impressed the most important admirer of all: his dad. Jos Verstappen has been watching his son climb the ranks of motorsport for years, but even he was surprised at his son's effort. "I must say he surprised me today. I've seen many races he did, and today it was incredible." said Jos Verstappen according to motorsport.com

Not only his father was surprised but the whole F1 Community on how well he did. Max Verstappen and his magnificent drive through the field to take third place. It was one of the great performances of Formula One and for a sustained effort in atrocious conditions it must rank alongside the best we have seen from Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.

According to The Guardian, some people compared Verstappen's drive with those "arrival" displays from Senna at Monaco in 1984 and Schumacher in Spain in 1996. We knew he was good before this, of course, but this was the finest hour of his short career.

The sport needed this shot in the arm. It has been a long year since a spectacle to happen. The final race will be in Abu Dhabi at the end of the month wherein all eyes will be on Hamilton and Rosberg.

Rosberg only needs to win the podium at the Yas Marina circuit to claim his fruitful F1 title, while Hamilton will need his teammate to make a colossal mistake and finish in fourth while also finishing first himself to win his third straight championship.

We may see another prodigy in Formula One since Michael Schumacher according to an article on Jobs & Hire. As of the moment Max Verstappen has been showing great class and truly amazing spectacles of performances that people rareluy to see in Formula race history.
