The awaited awards night opened with a bang as One Direction performed their newest hit, Bet Song Ever. Hosts Darren Criss (Glee) and Lucy Hale (Pretty Liars) invited today's hottest boy band in to receive their awards including Choice Summer Tour, Choice Music Group, Choice Single by a Group (Live While We're Young) and Choice Love Song (Little Things).
As the awards show go on (which you can watch live here), Pretty Little Liars are getting a good headstart with awards such as Choice TV Show, Drama, Choice Summer TV Show, Choice TV Villain (Janel Parrish), Choice Summer TV Actor & Actress (Keegan Allen & Lucy Hale), Choice TV Actor, Drama (Ian Harding) and Choice TV Actres (Troian Bellisario).
Pitch Perfect isn't trailing far too behind with the show's co-stars Rebel Wilson and Skylar Astin winning for Choice Actress in a Comedy. "I'm so happy I won, you guys," she said. "Or else I'd be really embarrassed wearing this wetsuit." Other than that, Adam Devine won as Choice Movie Villain for the hit film and the movie winning Choice Music Comedy.
Now the Teen Choice Awards may not be exactly the most profound awards night in Hollywood (with categories like Best Lip Lock and Male Hottie), it's certainly packed with the hottest celebrities like Ashton Kutcher, Liam Hemsworth, Demi Lovato, Lily Collins and more. What's cool is the winners get a full-sized surf board as a trophy!
Performers also include Will.i.Am, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and of course, a few more surprises that you can only catch in this live video of the show.
