'Pirates of the Caribbean 5': Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom’s Roles Toned Down

Fans are surprised that Jack Sparrow and Will Turner may not be the main characters of the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean" 5 movie. Orlando Bloom plays Will Turner and Johnny Depp plays Jack Sparrow in the past sequels of the movie

According to Movie News Guide, "Pirates of the Caribbean" 5 is scheduled for release in 2017 and the storyline is currently being developed. The announced name of the sequel is "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" and initial trailers have not shown Turner and Sparrow as main characters in them.

ChattSportsNet. reports that in  Europe and U.K., the title announced for the movie is "Pirates of the Caribbean:  Salazar's Revenge." This is the only time that the movie has been named after the villain of the story.

Why the title change was made for the European market remains a puzzle and subject to many speculations. Perhaps, the film producers believe that the title will have more impact and attract more audiences in UK and Europe.

The villain Captain Salazar, who is played by Javier Bardem, seems to be the focal point of the storyline of "Pirates of the Caribbean" 5.  In the movie, he chases after Sparrow to avenge his brother's death. If he kills Sparrow in the movie, it will be the end of Depp's character.

Movie analysts are saying that Disney might be making the right move. Johnny Depp's personal life has recently not been commendable and he is pressed with too many outside distractions.  As recently reported by Jobs & Hire, JK Rowlings was recently criticized for including Depp's name in the "Fantastic beasts and Where to Find Them" movie.

Depp's personal problems are probably having an impact on his being casted in different roles. It is also possible that producers are thinking Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are may be too old and have outgrown their roles to be in "Pirates of the Caribbean 5."
