'Steam Awards' Introduced During Annual Sale: Nominate Games for 'Test of Time', 'I'm Not Crying There's Something In My Eye' Awards, More!

Gamers all over the world are frantically reaching for their PayPal accounts and credit and debit cards because Steam's Autumn Sale is on! This year, the annual "Black Friday" equivalent sale on the games retail platform will introduce the "Steam Awards" feature for the first time.

Gamers can now nominate their games for certain categories such as the "I'm Not Crying, There's Something In My Eye Award" for the most heart-wrenching games or the "Whoooaaaaaaa, Dude! Award (with three O's and seven A's)" for mind-blowing games. The "Steam Awards" categories introduced this annual sale might sound hilarious but they segregate each area properly.

The "Villain Most in Need of a Hug Award" is for gamers' favorite video game villains.  The "Game Within a Game Award" is for the best mini-game or "Easter Egg" mini-game hidden in one title.

According to Game Spresso, Steam users can start their nominations during this sale and onwards. A special category also exists. A game wins the "We Didn't Think of Everything Award" if it has the best nominations and the best custom category gamers nominate it in.

Regarding the sale, gamers chasing after "The Witcher" and "Rise of The Tomb Raider" can get their chance with the lowest prices for the rest of the year. Intense gory and celebrated classic FPS game remake "DOOM (2016)" and highly-anticipated massive single-player action RPG Fallout 4 has dropped its prices to 67 percent from its original upon the publishing of this post.

According to Kit Guru, gamers can suggest their own categories for future reference but many gamers have nominated celebrated "Half-Life 2: Episode Two" with a custom nomination named the "Game That Deserves A Sequel" award with over 6,000 upvotes from many gamers. Valve had published the aforementioned game seven years ago and it has yet to announce any news regarding a sequel in the works much to the disappointment of long-waiting fans.
