'Alien: Covenant' Brings Back Ridley Scott’s Horrors Of Distant Past

In the newly released poster of the upcoming movie "Alien: Covenant," it is very clear that Ridley Scott is connecting the theme of the movie to his past movies, the 2102 "Prometheus" and 1979 "Alien." The movie brings back actor Michael Fassbender from 2012 and the poster image of the 1979 "Alien" monster

As reported by Mail Online, the image used in the poster of "Alien: Covenant" that was released by 20th Century Fox resembles the dark sinister silhouette of the creature that terrorized the crew of Sigourney Weaver in 1979. The 1979 tag of "In space no one can hear you" is very much longer than the tag used in "Alien: Covenant" which is simply a single word "RUN."  The poster certainly takes viewers back to the horrors of the 1979 movie.

Michael Fassbender's role is just a reprisal of the android David which he portrayed in the 1979 movie "Alien." Fans are already praising Director Ridley Scott for bringing back the theme and horrors of his past films. It is right to say that the "Alien: Covenant" is a sequel of those two past films.

Michael Fassbender told Collider that the movie will much scarier than the 2012 movie and will have more thrills and disastrous situations. "Alien: Covenant" also stars Guy Pearce, Naomi Rapace, Billy Crudup, Carmen Ejogo and Danny McBride.

"Alien: Covenant" was scheduled for release on August 4, 2017 but recent events have reset its release to an earlier date, May 19, 2017. "Covenant" actually is the name of the spaceship aiming to transplant humans into a starting colony of adventurers in a far habitable planet.

The story revolves around the life of the crew as they travel to that distant destination. They discover that the place they were visiting is a cold and dangerous land inhabited by an android called David and the alien ogres that live there.
