'Titanfall 2' News Updates: No 'Paid Shortcuts' In In-Game Store, 'Angel City's Most Wanted' DLC To Arrive on November 30!

Respawn Entertainment's "Titanfall 2" is making waves across the globe. It might not be Blizzard's "Overwatch" but it offers riding, customizing and maintaining mecha — any young child's dream. As an adult, though, "Titanfall" was frustrating having to purchase items that were mission-crucial with actual cash — destroying the gaming experience. Respawn said "Titanfall 2" will have no 'paid shortcuts' and DLC "Angel City's Most Wanted" will drop on November 30.

According to Engadget, spending your cold hard cash in "Titanfall 2" will not be for important but rather items of decor, such as robots with different looks, additional gameplay elements for cheap such as camouflages. Respawn is also to remove arbitrary in-game currencies or loot boxes removing any possible 'paid shortcut' to victory.

The DLC "Angel City's Most Wanted" contains the Angel City map from the original "Titanfall" as well as other additional content including the "Wingman Elite Pistol," a possible variant of the Wingman Pistol already in use in-game. Additional "Titan Kits" are also available for each playable Titan in the game including the Refraction Lens for the Splitter Rifle. Here are the complete DLC additions .

Unlike the original "Titanfall" oriented towards multiplayer gaming, "Titanfall 2" features a single-player campaign. According to The Verge, it was "exactly what the series needed." Contributor Andrew Webster said the multiplayer experience still kept players from understanding the important events that shaped the universe and a single-player campaign -- despite being tacky and pulls from other sci-fi/military stories -- still makes it worthwhile to know the story of the factions involved in the games' robot and soldier wars.

Out of multiplayer-oriented games without single-player missions, gamers celebrate "Overwatch" namely because of Blizzard's marketing take. It published several short stories that tell the backstory of the "game universe. "Overwatch" is all about a "super-team created to end the Omnic Crisis" which involved servant-Omnic robots who had turned evil, rebellious or sentient. Blizzard's magic is how it can make these characters lovable to all players.

The game's newest DLC is just a few days away. Cyber Monday is offering a sale on "Titanfall 2" and maybe DLC pre-orders! For more "Titanfall" and gaming news, stay tuned!
