Mel Gibson is set to play the role of a controversial author of the 1857 edition of the Oxford English Dictionary. According to a report featured in Daily Mail UK, this movie is directly inspired by the 1998 novel written by Simon Winchester titled "The Surgeon of Crowthorne: A Tale of Murder, Madness, and the Love of Words."
Judging by his Victorian overall Victorian outfit, Mel Gibson looks practically unrecognizable from his decades-old striking appearance. Nobody would have instantly recognized the well-dressed corpulent gentleman with a wild gray beard.
